Country Buyer is responsible for Tactical buying activities at a country level. There are responsible for
executing & implementing strategic and non-strategic sourcing projects and the management of key
Country suppliers in accordance with the Annual Category Plan and Category Strategies. They may be
involved in country/divisional/regional/ global projects, as required.


- Responsible for the country level implementation of defined Category / Divisional / Regional /
Country strategic and non-strategic projects
- Responsible for challenging and validating demand for all requirements
- Responsible for ensuring negotiated contracts are clearly communicated to the Business
stakeholders and ensuring they are consistently applied
- Responsible for ensuring implementation and compliance at a country level for catalogs from
Category/Divisional/Country projects
- Responsible for ensuring country level supplier issues are addressed and resolved on a timely
manner
- Provides support in term of compliance performance, risk management and adherence to the
applicable Novartis Procurement policies and procedures
- Accountable for proactively escalating any known risks or issues to the Business Partner /
Global / Regional Category Team and/or local management to ensure required support for
resolution
- Responsible for the management of bank guarantees according to the guidelines
- Support NGSC in the tactical procurement processes
- Support Genpact in the transactional procurement proceesses
- Negotiate Purchase orders and secure compliance of the purchases (PO value > €100K)
- Secure substitution within the local procurement team
Education: Vocational training (HAK, Kaufmännische Ausbildung,
Fachhochschule/ Uni mit 1 bis 3 Jahre Erfahrung)
Languages: Business fluent in English and German
The gross salary depends on experience and training, but is at least EUR 2.438,75.- (full-time basis). The willingness to overpayment with appropriate qualification is given.
